NowPresent is built on a single privacy principle: your data never leaves your device. There are no servers, no database, and no company holding your behavioral data. We cannot see it, sell it, or share it — because we never receive it in the first place.

NowPresent operates entirely on-device. All data — usage logs, journal entries, mood scores, intervention history, and AI model state — is stored in SQLite on your iPhone and never transmitted anywhere.

The AI that powers NowPresent — emotional state detection, intervention selection, pattern analysis — runs entirely on your device. No data is sent to external AI APIs. No prompts are logged. Model weights are shipped with the app and never updated via network calls.

NowPresent detects patterns using behavioral signals: typing cadence, scroll velocity, and app-switching frequency. We analyze timing metadata only — never content. We never read what you type, only how you type it. These signals are processed in memory and summarized as feature vectors. Raw signals are never persisted to disk.

With your explicit permission, NowPresent uses Apple's Screen Time API (DeviceActivityFramework) to detect when you've spent significant time in app categories. This integration:

If you submit your email on nowpresent.app to join the waitlist, we store it solely to notify you when the app launches. We will never use it for marketing, share it with third parties, or contact you for any other reason. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@nowpresent.app.

The NowPresent app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. The app makes zero network calls during normal operation.

This website (nowpresent.app) is hosted on Vercel and may use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, anonymized page view counts. No personal data or identifying information is collected through the website.

Because all data is stored on your device, you can delete everything at any time:

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
